Los Santos Fire Department has officially announced adjustments to its internal rank structure following an evaluation conducted by the Office of the Chief Fire Officer. It is important to note that the Rank 1 to Rank 10 system remains unchanged and has already been in use previously. This update mainly focuses on renaming several positions to better reflect their roles and align with the department’s current organizational needs. Below is a comparison between the previous and current structures:

Some of the more noticeable changes are in the mid-to-upper ranks. For example, Captain, which was previously at Rank 7, is now at Rank 6. Battalion Chief has shifted from Rank 8 to Rank 7. In addition, the Chief Deputy position is now clearly defined as its own rank at Rank 9. Along with these adjustments, several members have had their titles updated to match the new structure:
CFO:
- Deputy Chief Darek Sczepanski → Chief Deputy Darek Sczepanski
- Battalion Chief Alice Aensley → Assistant Chief Alice Aensley
- Battalion Chief Donato Volta → Assistant Chief Donato Volta
- Battalion Chief Paul White → Assistant Chief Paul White
- Fire Captain Cecilia Frederica → Battalion Chief Cecilia Frederica
